Fall Wish List

Good Morning dear friends.  Over the weekend, in an effort to get myself excited for Fall, I did some on-line browsing.

Because I am so darn short petite, I cannot wear all the fabulous clothes that are on my wish list.

I am very partial to long sweaters.  I feel they hide a multitude of sins.  There's nothing more feminine than a crisp white blouse.  Black and white seem to be my go-to colors for the Fall and Winter.

Cardigans are my best friends all year long.

Cute sweater.

I bought this jacket last year.  Hope it didn't shrink like EVERTHING else in my closet.

Banana Republic

I love this jacket - the cut and the color.  Not sure I could I could wear it though, because I haven't been able to wear horizontal stripes since I was ten.

I need to get this sweater so people know that I am tres chic.

I love Eileen Fisher.  Gorgeous color - have I mentioned that I'm a win-tah?

Quilted + Belt = not flattering on me.
But, boy, does this Burberry jacket look cute on this lady!  Best news yet... 40% off!

Labor Day Weekend

Our #1 and Adorable Jonathon spent Labor Day weekend with us.  We lucked out with gorgeous weather.

My #1 couldn't wait to see her little brother, Chowdah.  For some reason, #1 thinks that time stands still when she is not here and everything stays the same.  She had a rude awakening when she saw Chowdah!

My #1's last visit home as she cradled Chowdah in her arms.

Four months later, she attempted the same thing.

Love Chow's face in this one.  Put me down, crazy girl!

Chillin' in the sunroom with cocktails.

Sometimes #1 thinks she's Kim Kardashian.

Adorable Jonathon thinking she's not my kid!

Cocktail of the evening - the Madras.

Some snacks for the travelers.

Adorable Jonathon chatting it up with my #2.

#1 bonding with her little brother.

Love Chow's face in this one.  He's thinking...who is she again?

#1 thinking... I wonder what I can get my parents to buy me on this trip...

Maybe a new car or some expensive jewelry...

Adorable Jonathon thinking... better you than me!

Keep dreamin' #1!

Back to reality.

The Mister made a delicious salad accompanied by lamb chops, my favorite, and lobstah.  We couldn't have 2 Texans for dinner without serving lobstah!

And last but not least... warm apple tart and whipped cream.

A perfect ending to a beautiful night!

Happy Tuesday!

Now I know what Chowdah is going to be for Halloween!

A Life-Changing Video

Happy Labor Day, dear friends.  I hope you are enjoying your long weekend.

Our weekend was brimming with blue skies and lots of laughter.  My #1 and Adorable Jonathon visited us from Texas.  We spent a day in my favorite town, Newport, RI, and another day in Provincetown.  I took bazillions of photos and here's a sneak peek of one of them.  This was taken on a ferry on our way from Plymouth (yup, the town with that famous rock) to Provincetown.

In honor of Labor Day, I present this instructional video for the teens that may be college bound.  This little gem of a video may also be helpful to some children that even live at home.  I'm sure there are even some unwilling husbands out there that could reap the benefits of this minute and a half of instructions.

This video hits close to my heart because it reminds me of a couple of girls that grew up in our home.  They were very smart ladies and yet lacked the dexterity to accomplish this skill.  I think they are still in-training.

Happy Labor Day!
