Prime Time

I hope all is well in your world.  Our world has grown much warmer.  Yesterday we had temps in the 60's!   It got rid of all the ice.  I can now officially join the human race again!

I was so sorry to hear about Catherine O'Hara's passing.  I was a big fan of hers.  Unlike most Hollywood actresses, she didn't hit up a Beverly Hills doc to have her face stretched to the point of no return.  In her honor, I rewatched one of my favorite movies for the 300th time.  Next week, I will be binging Schitt's Creek and enjoying every moment of Moira.

Here's a catch-up on what I have bought on Amazon. The last time I wrote an Amazon post was in October.

I have a scar on my upper lip, and the Budget Derm says this works like magic.

This is the first step in Operation: Wedding Upkeep.
Getting the bod/face in shape for the big day.

Which leads me to this purchase.  The Today Show featured this product, and it sounded great. This miracle in a jar reduces a double chin and gives the jaw a sculpted look.
I am either going to be a knock-out or the winner of There's A Sucker Born Every Minute award.
Any bets?

My favorite eyebrow pencil.

This is my first step in my makeup routine.
I'm hoping my sculpted jaw in a jar works as well as this stuff.

A fellow blogger recommended this, and it works well.

I have a pricey brush that I never use.
This one has been my favorite for years.

Love this stuff.
It makes me look like I don't have a pore on my face.
Or maybe it's only when I look in the mirror without my glasses.

This heats up quickly and does a good job.

I bought these for my travel cosmetic case.

I have been using this eyebrow tint for years.
It lasts a long time.

Wasn't impressed.

Another Budget Derm recommendation.
I use it every other night under my moisturizer.

This is better than Aquaphor for the lips.
I also use it before my concealer around the eyes.

This is good, but this one works just as well and is a lot less expensive.

Best bang for the buck.

Another great bang for your buck.

I am never without these.
That's why I haven't had a cold in years.

A girl needs her beauty sleep.

I always stock up during cold-and-flu season.
Another addition to my travel bag.

Amazon

Another product I swear by.
Millie used to have tummy troubles every six to eight weeks.
Not anymore!

These came in handy the past couple of weeks.

My favorite turtleneck is on sale.

Great for cold weather and so comfy.

My second pair.

I needed sweatshirts with a pouch pocket for pickleball

If you wear petite, these are great leggings.

I bought a few Trader Joe's topiaries over the holidays, and I'm trying desperately to keep them alive.
The Mister thinks I love them more than him.
On some days, he may be right.

  2. Here's to Catherine O'Hara. We watched her on SCTV where some skits made fun of the Johnny Carson show. Go to YouTube and watch SCTV skits with Lola Heatherton on the Sammy Maudlin show. You can see her with Bobby Bitman (Eugene Levy) 50 years ago. I used Bonnie Bell toner for oily skin growing up and then switched to the alcohol free blue bottle Neutrogena for 35 years. They sold and/or switched the formula so I cannot WAIT to try out the CeraVe toner. Thanks for all the suggestions - keep 'em coming! Next time your husband guest stars, I have a question. I'm reading all these comments elsewhere that we should throw out all our spatulas and non stick pans. Does he agree? I see Krystal Kung Minkoff has a 14 piece set on Amazon made by a Swiss company for $215. Can he look at it? Thanks!

  3. Great finds. Our vet recommended the Fortiflora and it does such a good job clearing up any tummy upset in dogs.

  5. I'm mourning the loss of Catherine O'Hare too. Good idea to rewatch Shitt's Creek. Whoever was in charge of her wardrobe on that show deserves an award, I looked forward to her perfectly accessorized outfits as much as I looked forward to Moira, no one else can fill her shoes. Great recs for all things brow related as they're disappearing fast. I'll also be giving the Milani conceal powder and Egyptian Magic a whirl. As always, thanks for brightening up my Tuesday Katie. 1. I don’t like him, either, but the Amazon workers need their jobs.

  7. Hi M-Katie! Listen to Julia Dreyfus podcast with Catherine O Hara from last fall. I didn't love Julia's interview style/skills but I found Catherine to be this polished, articulate and faithful woman! Really good! She also was on Bravo Andy with Brian Cranston and was really fun in that one.
I need a marathon with both her and Diane Keaton. laura
