I hope that all is well in your world. We are in for a bitterly cold weekend, which is fine with me. I'm reading a good book, and my hairdresser told me to watch this cute romcom.
The Mister came home from his pickleball game with a shiner. I told him that he looked like a tough guy. The rest of the day was spent with him doing a bad imitation of Tony Soprano.
This magnificent home is in the breathtaking city of San Miguel Allende, which may or may not be the future setting of our daughter's wedding. The Fisher Weisman Brugioni firm can take credit for the design.
Have you heard of Dallas Sauce? Me either until now. Believe it or not, it did not originate in Dallas. Here's the scoop.

I just reordered this setting powder.
Tap (don't rub) the powder with a small brush on your nose and cheeks, and pores disappear.
I have this brush.
Love coming here. I ALWAYS get sidetracked and usually forget to come back to tell you how much I love your post. Really enjoyed the article about the Cathy comic strip. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteAnd I love when you come to visit!! Have a wonderful weekend, dear Diana.
DeleteYou're lucky the mister came away with just a bruise and not a broken hip. Flailing about on the pickleball court isn't worth his golden years spent using a walker.
ReplyDeleteSo, so true re: being a grandmother! Little J brings me so much joy, and she is a real spitfire and social butterfly. One of my olders sisters has told me repeatedly that J reminds her of me when I was little. And I say J reminds me of her mama, my second daughter. Full circle.
ReplyDeleteI love the full circle. Have a great week, Rita!
DeleteLove the house tours. The Narragansett home was so pretty as was the San Miguel house. I have not visited there but have heard so many great things about it that I hope to get there one day. It would be a beautiful spot for a wedding! I saw pictures of one there and it was stunning. Cathy! I used to love reading that strip and had forgotten about it until today. Did you catch that Cathy's Mom is 103! Hope you stay warm today! Melissa
ReplyDeleteCathy has got some great genes! I loved both homes too. Have a great week, Melissa!
DeleteHola, Katie! I love your blog and have followed you since before you moved back to Texas, although I don't think I have ever commented. My heart went pitter pat this time when you said that San Miguel de Allende may be the destination for your daughter's wedding! My husband and I moved from Kansas City to SMA in 2016 and bought our home here in 2019. We live about 4 blocks from the Rosewood. We absolutely love our life in this gorgeous old Mexican town! Everyone says this is such a magical place and it is so true! I know you and your family have visited here before, so I'm cheering your daughter on for SMA as her wedding destination! Patricia
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia! OMG How fun that you live in gorgeous SMA! Our last visit we stayed at the Rosewood and we met the nicest group of expats that swim there every morning. They absolutely loved living there. I don't have your email - could you send me a note. I'd like to talk to you about a blog post. Thank you so much for the comment.
