Hello, I'm Katie
I'm Katie. Welcome to my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020 and relocated to the Dallas suburbs and our forever home.
I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, shopping, decorating, Bravo, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my new little mischief-maker, thoroughly darling Millie. I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

Seriously, can the four of you be any cuter?! I love the JFK Library - a Boston highlight for sure! And don't even get me started on that cheese board!! Enjoy your weekend, my dear!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteKatie, this is such a fun post! Your family is adorable. You look beautiful and your daughter too. I can certainly understand why you like that your daughter is smiling. That's kind of all that matters in the world. Right? :)
ReplyDeleteWow -- what an amazing library! Hope to get to visit it someday. Great photos! Your #1 is so pretty -- she looks a lot like you! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou and your daughter are both stunning. She looks extremely happy, which I'm sure makes you overjoyed. I feel like, as a mom, I will feel the biggest sense of satisfaction when my kids find a partner that loves and appreciates them.
ReplyDeleteI am a little obsessed with all things JFK, so that museum would be right up my ally. Have a great weekend!
You and #1 are just darling!! And that cheese spread...yum!!!
ReplyDeleteKatie, the four of you look like you could be Kennedy's!! What a great outing for your family!!
ReplyDeleteHave a fab weekend!

What a fabulous looking cheese board! The JFK library looks incredible, especially that large glass window-wall overlooking the water. Here in Texas, I have visited both Bush libraries and the LBJ library in Austin. It is always interesting to see that slice of history! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow salivating over that cheese board,I am sure you did all the cooking/preparing:)
ReplyDeleteAJ is a doll and a keeper, they are so cute togehter and look..you are making them famous:) I never realized how much #1 and you look alike until I saw that first pic. And lastly isn't the JFK library incredible! I want to go back...enjoy your weekend and dont' away that winter coat or snow shovel too fast..ugh!
It looks like you had a fabulous weekend with your beautiful girl and her boyfriend! They look so happy. I LOVE your new haircut! You look fabulous! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe cheese board again - I am going to have to get busy and assuage my urge for cheese and figs this weekend.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it lovely to see one's children so happy?
That was a clever plan to make the most of a dreary day. I've toured the Carter library when I lived in Atlanta, and was there when they had an exhibit of all the first ladies inauguration gowns. It was wonderful! Glad you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, happy post! You have a gorgeous family and I LOVE, love, love your hair!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words. Have a great weekend.
DeleteThey are as cute as a button and looks like a fun time for sure! HAppy weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou are all just too cute for words!! And, that cheese plate looks delish! Happy weekend, Katie!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to visit the JFK library....and all of ya'll are just too cute!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see "JFK" I'm reminded of a true story about my momma...we were traveling to my sister's to visit with her one day a few years ago when momma asked me to pick up a book for her at her library they were holding for her when we got back home, I asked her the name of the book and she said "Killing KFC"! I said you mean Killing JFK? She said, of course! Guess where we ate lunch that day? KFC!!!!!
You all have the best time, and I love seeing your #1 so happy. Isn't that the best!!l Happy weekend ~
ReplyDeleteOh what fun and who doesn't love JFK?
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so adorable! Looks like you had a wonderful time. Jackie's dresses were so beautiful! That woman really had style, didn't she? Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteI've always thought your baby's boyfriend looks just like Brett Baier on Fox News!!
ReplyDeleteand guess what I saw last week? Was in Dallas and saw a man driving the car that JFK was killed in. He owns it and rides it around the area around the grassy noll where it happened. Flags and all flying from the convertible. I actually gasped when I saw it!!
Looks like a good time was had by all! A very beautiful family! AND, we finally get to see your hair cut! Love it, too!
ReplyDeleteKatie,
ReplyDeleteA great way to spend a wet and cold day...INSIDE visiting JFK's library. Jackie was so classy looking in all her clothes.

The JFK Library is always worth the trip - a nice place to spend the day with your family.
ReplyDeleteThe Mister assembles the best cheese boards!
Have a great week.
I just need to say that the Kennedys always seemed to look great in photos and by goodness so does everyone in your family. Your jacket and scarf were "Jackie O worthy"...looks like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy post! Going to the photo of the cheese board. What a beautiful presentation!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family too! '-)
I love the JFK Library! It looks like, even with a crummy weather day, the view from the library was still beautiful. Also beautiful? Your #1 and her mom!
