I hope all is well in your world! It is bright and sunny in ours because our # 2 arrived safely home from Singapore. I took my first breath of relief very early this morning.
This week was relatively quiet. I met a dear friend for lunch and had some exchanges to make. The Land's End store closest to me recently closed, so I stopped by the one in Dallas. What a great store! The staff was so helpful and hospitable, and the place was neat as a pin! A special shout-out to Mel, who was such a wonderful addition to my shopping experience.
Today, the Mister and I are off to see Now You See Me Now You Don't. We enjoyed the first one a couple of years ago. And knowing the Mister, we will be stopping for lunch.
Take a tour of this Buckhead beauty and meet the dream team that worked their magic right here.

I never thought I would see the words Mensans and Real Housewives in the same sentence. Let alone in Psychology Today.
Do you get uptight about the holidays because you have some annoying relatives? Here is some solid advice on handling those tense moments.

This was a huge hit when I put it on my last post.
Ok, right off the bat, I have to confess to breaking out in hives while looking at the Elle Decor pictures. I am not a pattern person, and those were so overload to my sensibilities. I did like the baked sweet potato idea, especially for two people. We enjoyed the "Merry Little Ex-Mas" movie this week and will check out some of the other suggestions. Thanks for making my mouth water over some of those sweaters, although I may never actually purchase any. I can dream, can't I?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Libby. I always swoon over these decorated homes but that one is off putting.
DeleteOh my goodness! Love that you put June Farms on here. Live about 30 minutes from there. It is the most beautiful gentleman’s farm. I’m sure he put a ton of money into the old farm. Went to goat yoga there. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know Lands End had stores! Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteSo happy your #2 got home safely, an answer to prayer. Lots of good tv recs as always, thank you. Thanksgiving is my favorite meal of the year and might have to add one or two more from Southern Living. Looking forward to seeing Merry Little Ex-Mas and now I'm going to revisit some of the sale sweaters you featured. Have a good weekend Katie 💐 KTG
ReplyDeleteHad to smile at the little card board house to color and decorate. We did that probably 10 years ago when our youngest grandson was about 3. The whole family grandkids moms and dads and grandmommy participated. A sweet memory. Three grandsons now 19,18 and 13. Time sure does pass quickly!
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief to have #2 back home!
ReplyDeleteAlways look
forward to your home tours. Going to check some of your tv recs. Will be watching the next season of Landman, for sure.

You're lucky the Lands End store you went to was neat, the one in my area is a bit of a mess. The staff likes fast food, there are burger wrappers and fry cartons all over the place, it smells like McDonalds during the lunch rush. They have a new DEI hire with green hair, tattoos and by the looks of her thick middle, the one at fault for the crumbs soiling an otherwise nice store.
ReplyDeleteBefore I even clicked on the link I knew Seattle would have the highest gas prices. I didn't realize California was about the same, although it doesn't surprise me. We saw the original Now You See Me and loved it. We need to plan a night to see the second one. Did you enjoy it?
