November Books

I hope all is well in your world.  As always, Halloweeners were sparse around my neck of the woods.  Looks like the Mister is going to have to get rid of all his favorite candy all by himself.

Yesterday, we spent a delightful afternoon with the Adorables.  For those new here, they are my son-in-law's parents.  We had a delicious lunch at Rick's and did a little shopping around the McKinney Square.

Lucy and her parents arrived home on Friday afternoon after catching some Florida sunshine. It was just in the nick of time for Lucy to decide whether or not to wear her pretty princess dress for trick-or-treating. From what I gather, it was touch-and-go for a while.

Lucy's favorite part was greeting all the blow-ups in her hood.

Barbara O'Neal can do no wrong when it comes to writing a story with likable characters facing adversity.  Two broken-hearted women and one handsome side piece travel to put the pieces of a puzzling mystery together.  This one is a treat!  Great narration.

Another favorite author of mine! This is the story of two young sisters separated by the ravages of war. It is beautifully written and a wonderful story full of hope and love.

I loved First Lie Wins, and this one even more!
It comes out in January, and it's worth the wait!

This story is about a very popular, well-respected national Anchorman who strikes out at a makeup artist using racial profanity. Unfortunately for him, it was recorded.  Kenney wrote I See You've Called In Dead, one of my top ten favorites this year.

Reid is sick of his wife, so he decides to kill her.  He plans every detail.  What he didn't consider was that she had her own plan.
