The Friday Files

I hope all is well in your world. This week, I played pickleball on a different day, which totally threw me off.  The only day I could positively identify was when I almost wiped out our trash can in the driveway.  That is a weekly occurrence on Wednesdays.

Is anyone watching The Golden Bachelor?

Let me rephrase this.

Will anyone admit to watching the show?

My favorite episode in this franchise is when the bachelor meets the families of the final chosen ones.  If you relish awkward family moments, this episode is for you.

Cotswolds charm meets Brentwood chic in this gorgeous home designed by Brooke Giannetti.  Read more about it here.

For all of you old house lovers, I have a house for you! This Colonial is in one of my favorite Connecticut towns, Stonington, and it's for sale.

This is an intriguing article about how a Japanese Royal has managed to remain private.

Speaking of the Royals, do you have what it takes to work for Prince Charles?  Here's the job description.

Here is a home cook's guide to all the cuts of beef.

If you are a side sleeper like me, there's good news.

Fun Fact: The Mister and I love spaghetti squash.  Here are 35 healthy recipes using spaghetti squash.

Have you watched The Woman In Cabin 10 yet?  Did you read the book?  Here is a rundown on the differences between page and screen.

What's your favorite Diane Keaton movie?  Rotten Tomatoes ranks them here.

I hate to brag, but I think I hold the world record for how many times I have watched Baby Boom.

  1. Thanks for all the viewing recommendations. And I laughed out loud at the college mom instagram! I'm not watching the Golden Bachelor, but think the whole idea of midlife women competing on a dating show is kind of awkward and cringe. I can't imagine telling my grown kids that I'm going on the Bachelor! Hope you have a great weekend.

    1. Who cares what grown kids think, you should take the bull by the horns and go on the Bachelor. Tell those kids how it is, if you want to have a good time they'll just have to look the other way.

    2. If Tanya went on the Bachelor, never mind what the kids will think of it, I think Michael might have something to say about it. Rita

  6. MSNBC and other news sites are reporting huge increases in pickleball related eye injuries, many serious. Folks need to wear protective goggles as a precaution.
