I hope all is well in your world. I have a few orders of business before we get on with the post.
We got booed! We have not been booed in over twenty years. If you are not familiar with this Halloween custom, I will explain.
A neighbor secretly leaves a bag of treats at your door along with a note that says, "You've been booed!" You need to post it on your door and then put your own bag of goodies together with a note and leave it at another neighbor's house that does not have a Boo! sign. It is so much fun, and the Mister and I had a great time at Marshall's picking out some treats for some dear neighbors of ours.

Years ago, my two little felons came up with their own angle on this game. Why put the Boo! sign on the door when you can get double the treats? I tried to explain that as long as they play the game, they must follow the rules.
The little one, with the luxurious locks, now known as Shifty, asked what if it bwows away?
The letter "L" was not in her vocabulary.
We'll have to put extra tape on our sign, I answered.
Their pouts could win Academy Awards.
As a result, they have spent years in therapy and break out in a cold sweat when they hear the word Boo!
The Mister and I took Shifty out for lunch over the weekend. Darlin' Will was on a golf weekend. We went to one of my favorite places, Il Bracco, home of the most delicious Olive Oil Sundae in the world. Meanwhile, Lucy, her Mom, and Dad have been enjoying some Florida sunshine.
I am way behind decorating for Fall. So far, this is all I've got.
I had to take a nap after all my hard work!
There are thirty days until Turkey Day. Here are some items that I have been saving in my Thanksgiving folder. They come in all shapes and sizes, from tablecloths to hostess gifts.
And there may also be a few wardrobe suggestions.

Outfit Inspiration?
I know what you're thinking... I have exquisite taste.
What a precious photo of your girls. I had so much fun with my boys' costumes when they were younger. Getting Booed was something my boys enjoyed and I might have to start a new tradition in my neighborhood. So many beautiful tablecloth options for Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful blue sweater! Please share the name brand.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I got it at the Gap a couple of years ago. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!
DeleteBut we've just had Thanksgiving. I was in Quebec, hiding from our rowdy AirBnB hosts and their 29 relatives. Remember? Wait. What? Oh, the American Thanksgiving... Of Course.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture of you and "Shifty." Hope you're having a good week!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute pic of the girls when they were little little all dressed up for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteYou and Shifty being treated for lunch is adorable.
Yes, decorating must have put you out of commission and sent you to bed for a week. Very pretty what you created.
I’m glad you are back and kicking.
