Hello, I'm Katie
I'm Katie. Welcome to my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020 and relocated to the Dallas suburbs and our forever home.
I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, shopping, decorating, Bravo, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my new little mischief-maker, thoroughly darling Millie. I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

Try the J. Jill white pants. Hope they still make them. I’m just like you and found a pair with a line down the front. When you iron them, they are very flattering - well as far as that can go 🤣
ReplyDeleteI will try j jill ! I own plenty of J Jill jeans but no white ones. The problem that I am facing is that it is a sea of wide leg jeans that do nothing for me but look great on the models. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and commenting.
DeleteHave you tried Wit and Wisdom? They come in all sizes and very flattering/comfortable. I recommended to a petite friend of mine and she loved them! Available at Nordstrom or the Wit and Wisdom website.
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of Wit and Wisdom but will make it my first stop tonight!! Thank you so much for the tip!
DeleteI came to say the same! I wear Wit and Wisdom and love their petite sizing. They do tend to run a tad big so try your normal size and one size down.
DeleteI know this might sound crazy but Old Navy has THE BEST FITTING JEANS in the market!!! And although you and I are two completely different body types, I think you might find that they will have the perfect fit for you! I have been wearing them for years and you can get the for as cheap as $18.00 on sale and still wear them with your designer clothes and accessories!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle! I will definitely try ON!! Thanks for letting me know!! Have a great week!!
DeleteHave you tried the brand Frame, they are great!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried Frame but I will definitely check them out! Thanks for the note!!
DeleteJ Jill Jeans and Quince
ReplyDeleteI love Quince and J Jill! I have not tried Quince jeans yet and will definitely give them a try if they have petite. Thanks so much for your comment!!!
DeleteBlast from the past! Gloria Vanderbilt jeans (style “Amanda”), under $30.00 from Amazon. I got a tip from somewhere, bought 1 pair, and then ordered in 4 different colors.
ReplyDeleteHope you love them as much as I do (size 10 in GVJ is a much better fit than my old size 10 Talbots Chatham pant).
I love GV !!! I have 4 GV Amanda jeans in my closet in 2 sizes but no white ones!! I have looked for them but no luck. I agree about the fit! Thanks so much for your comment.
DeleteI also like the GV jeans that a previous comment mentioned, and I get them at Costco. Not sure if they have white though. I love this style of jeans from Amazon, and several readers have tried them too. They are a slightly wider leg, so not sure if that is what you're looking for: https://amzn.to/4rOZzst
ReplyDeleteI will definitely give them a whirl!! Hope you had a great time in Hawaii! Xx
DeleteKut from the Kloth is a great brand of jeans. Has a website and sold in Nordstrom
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Kut from the Kloth which means they must be cool. I will definitely check them out! I am headed to Nordstrom this week. Thanks for the tip!!
DeleteThank you for another great post! I have also searched high and low for good white jeans and strangely the best I have found- hands down- have been at Old Navy! The ones I have are from a few years ago (so not sure if this is still the case) but they’re thicker (can’t see dimpling/cellulite!), 99% cotton (so not too much stretch to make them clingy), a nice bright white and wash so well. I’ve bought some equally great wide leg blue jeans from them, too. I think each pair was on sale for about $20 and they’re so much better than the expensive jeans I was trying on and hating. I heard about Old Navy jeans from an influencer a few years ago and it was such a great tip!
ReplyDeleteI was also influenced to try the new Rivette line of jeans from Loft- another store I don’t usually like-and a few of them were also great. I found a great pair of ivory wide leg jeans and saw that they are now carrying white denim so will probably give those a try, too. Good luck! White jeans are so tough!!
Thank you for reading another post! Old Navy scores again!! You said my favorite words… no dimpling!!! I have not heard of Rivette, but will definitely look for them at Loft. Thanks so much for your comment. I’ll keep you posted.
DeleteTry Loft jeans. Not Ann Taylor, Loft. They fit like a glove and they feel great on.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Old Navy, great jeans.
Now I am definitely trying Loft!!! And Old Navy!!! Thank you so much for your note!!!
DeleteGap. Size 29 (8) petite. Skinny or flare. My go to.
ReplyDeleteSounds right up my alley! I will definitely look for the flare! Thank you!
DeleteHi! Have you tried Madewell Carted Barrel-Leg jean? They come in white. I have three pairs of their barrel-leg jeans and love them. And they get compliments. Worth a try!!
ReplyDeleteI will try them but the barrel-leg don’t do me any favors. I will give Madewell a whirl!! Thanks for letting me know!!
DeleteHi, from the above post, it is Madewell DARTED Barrel-leg. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteGot it, thanks!
DeleteDo your picklebuds know that the US is in the middle of a catastrophic war with Iran, and that high oil prices will cause a seventies-style recession?
