Gift Guide for the Cook

I hope all is well in your world.  We woke up to some nippy temperatures. The Mister, our resident meteorologist, informed me that it was 29 degrees.  Yikes!

We spent some time with our favorite grandchild and her parents on Saturday.   The Mister helped AJ put up some coachlights, while I got to play with Lucy and her Mama.  We then had a delightful lunch at Green Point.

Lucy likes to be entertained in the car.  I went through about 8 rounds of Where is Thumbkin? Every time I finished a round, she pleaded Agin!!!

I think the kid likes to see me sweat.

Cookie, the elf, aka Santa's spy, is assigned to Lucy's house. I don't know who is having more fun, Lucy or her Mama and Daddy.

I bought this ice cream maker for the Mister last Christmas, and he loves it.  It's user-friendly, and there is minimal clean-up.  It's a great gift for a family.

  2. Katie you have many jobs, you're a super-model trophy wife, a mother, a Lovey and a beloved blogger! I hung up my apron years ago but I'm excited to order Nights and Weekends and Milk Street Shorts cookbooks. Thanks for so many great gift ideas! Give Miss Lucy some KTG xxx's and ooo's

    1. Thank you KTG for your kind words! The day you hung up your apron is a dark day in the culinary world!

  3. Great ideas. Everybody needs a fire blanket in their kitchen. With free shipping, the Jenni's ice cream is a real deal (if a person has room for 5 or 6 pints of ice cream in her/his freezer).

    1. Actually I am sending the ice cream to an old friend. The Mister bought me the blanket when I started to show an interest in cooking. No worries, it didn’t last long. The blanket is still in tact. Have a great weekend!

  5. The butter accessories are nice, most of the other merchandise looks unnecessary and designed to get the weak-minded to waste money.

  6. I love all your suggestions. And as a former employee of Williams sonoma I love all my purchases from there I will give one warning. I have the counter food warmer and last Christmas it cracked my quartz island. Maybe it was turned too high but for safety maybe put something under it
