Hello, I'm Katie
I'm Katie. Welcome to my blog. I am an empty nester meandering through my midlife years one page at a time. We sold our antique home on the South Shore of Massachusetts in October 2020 and relocated to the Dallas suburbs and our forever home.
I love to write about books, movies, TV, celebrities, shopping, decorating, Bravo, and weekend adventures. My favorite writing material, however, is derived from my family: the Mister, my girls, #1 and #2, my favorite son-in-law, and my new little mischief-maker, thoroughly darling Millie. I love hearing from my wonderful readers.

You always have such good ideas! Thank you, and Lucy is precious!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet words! Have a great weekend!!
DeleteKatie you have many jobs, you're a super-model trophy wife, a mother, a Lovey and a beloved blogger! I hung up my apron years ago but I'm excited to order Nights and Weekends and Milk Street Shorts cookbooks. Thanks for so many great gift ideas! Give Miss Lucy some KTG xxx's and ooo's
ReplyDeleteThank you KTG for your kind words! The day you hung up your apron is a dark day in the culinary world!
DeleteGreat ideas. Everybody needs a fire blanket in their kitchen. With free shipping, the Jenni's ice cream is a real deal (if a person has room for 5 or 6 pints of ice cream in her/his freezer).
ReplyDeleteActually I am sending the ice cream to an old friend. The Mister bought me the blanket when I started to show an interest in cooking. No worries, it didn’t last long. The blanket is still in tact. Have a great weekend!
DeleteGreat ideas Katie! Next year, could we please have these suggestions like two weeks earlier lol?? My shopping is already done, but those fire blankets are a terrific idea that I just might have to sneak in. Thanks! ;)
ReplyDeleteI will definitely start earlier as long as there are good sales! Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!!!
DeleteThe butter accessories are nice, most of the other merchandise looks unnecessary and designed to get the weak-minded to waste money.
ReplyDeleteYou must be fun at parties!
DeleteI love all your suggestions. And as a former employee of Williams sonoma I love all my purchases from there I will give one warning. I have the counter food warmer and last Christmas it cracked my quartz island. Maybe it was turned too high but for safety maybe put something under it
