This week, I was the captain of our ship. The Mister was out of town, so Millie and I were in charge. We went a little crazy. I left the dishes in the sink for over two hours, clean dishes were left in the dishwasher for several hours, and Millie declared the Mister's chair hers.
On Wednesday morning, I got a call from our #1, who works at home. She told me that Nanny was sick and she had a lot of work calls to make.
She said, "Would you mind..."

I didn't even listen to the rest of the sentence. I was on my way.
Number #1 met me at the door with a big smile.

Someone was not convinced that I was up to the task.
I am happy to report that it all worked out.
I didn't lose Lucy or drop her.
We had a great time.
Or at least I did.
