I hope all is well in your world. We had a wonderful dinner with friends we hadn't seen in a while. It was so great to catch up.
We went to see this movie. Both of us give it 5 stars. It is such a powerful movie. The acting, screenplay, and cinematography make for the perfect trifecta.
I hate to brag, but we finished The Diplomat in two sittings. What can I say?
We're overachievers.
These two have so much chemistry I felt like I should leave the room and give them some privacy.
We may not be voting for the same candidate, but I think we can agree that we are happy to say goodbye to one thing.
No more political ads or texts!!!!
Every year, I publish a monogram and personalization gift guide early so you have more time to order. I found some fun stuff!

Another great hostess gift idea.

I have been blogging for twelve years. Without a doubt, the most popular question readers have asked is where I got my monogram pendant.
The Mister gave it to me over 30 years ago. It is the first piece of jewelry that he gave me with my married monogram. The store has since closed. So, we talked to several jewelers about recreating the monogram. Jane Basch was a clear winner as far as workmanship and price.

ReplyDeleteI finished “the Diplomat” last night. The ending was amazing! I have a hard time watching Rufus Sewell without remembering how awful he was to Kate Winslet in “The Holiday”.
ReplyDeleteDo you watch “The Lincoln Lawyer”? I watched that show in 2 sittings. Yes, nosy Netflix, I am still watching!!
OMG!!! I never realized that Rufus Sewell was in The Holiday which I have seen at least 20 times!! Yes, we love The Lincoln Lawyer but haven't started the newest season yet. Enjoy your week!

DeleteThank you for the great ideas! I had the same thank you note rule for my boys. It was the rule I grew up with and I think it’s a good one.:) Have read some good reviews for “Conclave” and after your endorsement I really want to see it!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue... I hope that you like it as much as we did. Have a great week.
DeleteHi Katie, I stumbled across your blog a few years ago and am so glad I found it. I'm not one to make comments but wanted to let you know your humor, charm and talent has been a wonderful distraction during this election season. As I skimmed through your back publications, I noticed that you have recently relocated to the north Texas area. Truly admire your aesthetic style, both personal and home design. How did you manage your design decisions in your new home; wood versus tile flooring, shutters vs curtains. Would you do anything different? Incidentally, my husband and I saw Conclave over the weekend, I thought the acting was really well done. Thanks so much being a bright spot in this world.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. Please email me and I will answer your specific questions.
