Sista's DIY Buffet Table

Good morning, dear friends.  Happy Monday!  I hope that you enjoyed your weekend.  We kicked off ours at the first Christmas fair of the season.  The Mister was so excited he could barely control himself.  I met lots of nice people and took tons of pics for you.

I talked to Sista last night, and she shared that she was very busy this weekend.  She has been searching for the perfect buffet table for her dining room.  If you missed her stunning renovation, you can find it here.  After searching practically every antique and consignment shop on the East Coast, she lucked out and found the exact one.  But it needed some work.  So Sista, never turning her nose up to some manual labor, bought some paint, rolled up her sleeves and created a thing of beauty.

The table was lovely and in great shape when Sista found it.  Notice the tape measure.  It is a major character in the scenario because the table had to be a certain length to fit into an alcove.

The finished product!  It looks like the table was made for the space.

Sista outlined the squares on the table top in pencil and painted each one individually.

If you missed the total renovation of her dining room, pop over here.  Great job Sista!  I wonder if you could do a make over on me next!

Until next time...

  18. That appears to be a Duncan Phyfe sideboard buffet. We had one too which we donated when we moved to Maine. She did a beautiful job with restoring it. I never would have thought to paint a pattern on the top. Your sister did a marevlous job on updating her dining room! I just love it!
