Star Studded SAG Awards

I'm baaaack!  I wrote this post on Monday and as soon as I went to publish it, my dear friends at AT&T decided to pull the chord on my Internet and house phone.  Poor Mister spent 3 hours on the phone with command central at AT&T on Monday night and then another 2 hours last night.  My phone is back but the Internet is still down.  The Mister attached some kind of doo-hickey to my computer so that I could get back to my high powered, pressure cooker job of blogging.

Anyway, I watched the red carpet and SAG Awards on Sunday night.  I must be honest, I did not watch the entire awards show because my beloved Downton was on and I didn't want to miss one second of it!

So here goes with some of my thoughts on the fashion.

The Modern Family kids helping to roll out the red carpet.  Where's Lilly? (Hopefully taking some acting lessons).

Kelly Osborne

I'm really getting tired of the purple hair, Kelly.

Giuliana Rancic

Love the color and extremely flattering to all 80 lbs. of her.

Lea Michele
Great color and dress.

Kerry Washington
Tres elegant.  Love her show, too.

Julianne Moore - SAG
What a mess!  Ill-fitting and homely dress.  She looked sooo much better at the Globes. Sista said the official "sag" award goes to Julianne.

GLOBES
See?

Amy and Tina

Pure raw unadulterated talent dressed in elegant black times two.

Helen Hunt
Looked great.  Fabulous figure and if you want to get a closer look at that figure, go and see her in The Sessions

Anne Hathaway - SAG

Liked the dress better at the Globes and her hair better at SAG.

Frieda Pinto
This woman is so beautiful.  Love the hot pink.

January Jones
The dress was not one of my favorites.  The hair was way too severe.  Sometimes, I think January goes out of her way to look unattractive.

Jennifer Lawrence - SAG

Jennifer, the new "it" girl, looked great at both functions.  January should hire her stylist.

GLOBES
Great color and cut but weird top. Sista said it looked like she had two bird feeders on the front of her dress.

Jessica Chastain - SAG

I liked the SAG dress and hair better than the Globes, by far.

GLOBES
Speaking of odd looking tops...

Julianna Margulies- SAG

SAG dress and hair wins again!

GLOBES
This dress looks like it would be uncomfortable and itchy.

Michelle Dockery - SAG

I don't know how Lady Mary's grandmum would feel about the side boob shot.

GLOBES
Granny would love this one though.

Bradley Cooper
Looked dashing!  He speaks fluent French, too.  Oooh la la!  Do you think those are contacts?

Justin Timberlake
JT always looks so dapper!

Suit or tux...
pure perfection!

Have a great Thursday - treat yourself like a movie star!

  3. Fun! I am glad I got to see this post because I didn't watch them and agreed with nearly every one of your comments namely, the hideous purple hair on Kelly (so over it), the 'side boob" no no and no. Lea M. just gets on my nerves, sorry but I did like her color dress agreed. Only one I didn't agree about was Justin T. he did look dashing IF he was going apply to work for some swanky Wall street hedge fund:) NOW I see why he received so much heat, great suit but so inappropriate for the red carpet. Fun post and recap!

  4. Love a man in a suit or tux! Great commentary.. and I agree. The black tailored dress is always a no brainier and the purple hair looks ridiculous;)
